How to make a site trusted using Internet Explorer
In order to make a site trusted please follow the following steps:
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click "Tools" in the upper bar
- Select "Internet Options"
- Select "Security" in the window opens
- Select "Trusted Sites"
- Select "Sites..."
- In the text area "Add this Web site to the zone:" type "http://ouranos.ceid.upatras.gr/vr"
- Uncheck the "Require server verification (https) for all sites in
this zone"
- Click on the "Add" button
- Click in the "OK" button
How to enable Internet Explorer to run java applets on
the trusted sites
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click "Tools" in the upper bar
- Select "Internet Options"
- Select "Security" in the window opens
- Select "Trusted Sites"
- Click "Custom Level..."
- Click on the "Java Custom settings..." on the new window
- Click on the "Edit Permissions..." and enable everything for
unsigned content
- Click "OK" (three times) in order to close the opened windows

How to register the testcom.ocx ActiveX control
After downloading the "testcom.ocx" file please follow one of the
following ways in order to register it:
1. Double click on the "testcom.ocx" file. If you have registered
another ocx with this way before the ocx will be registerd automatically.
Otherwise the "open with " dialog will open. Click
"Other..." and then select the file "regsvr32.exe", which is
usually stored in "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM".
2. From the command line of Windows (Start->Run), type
regsvr32 "{installation directory of test com }\testcom.ocx"
